Solar size & generation
Estimate panels and generation from your location, available installation area and roof conditions.
See the full results without leaving your contact details. Inputs stay in this browser tab; solar coordinates are sent to PVGIS for the estimate.
Potential DC array size
Panel count: 26
Choose a location to calculate generation.
How this is calculated
Panel count = floor(area × usable share ÷ panel area). DC size = panel count × panel watts ÷ 1,000. PVGIS models 1kWp at the selected location; output is scaled to this array and adjusted for extra local shading. Defaults of 450W, 2.1m², 70% usable area and 14% system loss are editable examples. Reference orientation faces south in the northern hemisphere and north in the southern hemisphere, with tilt optimized by PVGIS.
Long-term climate estimate, not guaranteed generation. Best orientation is theoretical; actual roof geometry, structure, spacing, shading and inverter limits need site confirmation. PVGIS output already includes the entered system loss; extra shading is applied only once. No hourly inverter clipping is modelled.
PVGIS →Common questions
Is the battery capacity an exact recommendation?
This is an energy estimate based on the listed appliance assumptions or your measured daily consumption. It does not confirm simultaneous load or starting power.
Does roof area guarantee the panel count?
This estimates physical space only. Roof strength, setbacks, row spacing, obstacles and electrical design require a site survey.
Will the system definitely pay for itself?
No. Costs, weather, usage and local billing rules affect the result. Enter your own quotation and compare the sensitivity scenarios.
